Join us for a cute lil screening of 1969 Japanese queer art film, Funeral Parade Of Roses on Wednesday, 5/24! The movie is a funky romp following the trials and tribulations of Eddie and other trans women in Tokyo's queer underground in the 60s.

The screening with be hosted by #queer film expert, Kyle Turner (@tylekurner), author of The Queer Film Guide. Kyle will give us a fun introduction to the film, and explain its significance to queer culture and cinema.

Kyle Turner is a queer writer based in Brooklyn, NY. His writing on film, queerness, and culture has been featured in W Magazine, The Village Voice, Slate, GQ and the New York Times, and he is the author of The Queer Film Guide: 100 Films That Tell LGBTQIA+ Stories out May 16 from Smith Street Books and Rizzoli. He is relieved to know that he is not a golem.
